Following the instruction of the state transport commissioner, the RTO officer has initiated proceedings to revoke the driving licenses of the drivers violating the motor vehicle rules.  The traffic police will issue a memo of RTO to the applicant violating the law or the license of the applicant who will give memo by RTO himself will be revoked.

The Gujarat State Transport Commissioner has instructed the RTO officer to revoke the licenses of drivers violating the rules as per the Motor Vehicle Rules.  Drivers who have killed a person in a vehicle accident, talking to a moving vehicle on a mobile phone, driving dangerously, etc., will be given a memo of RTO by the traffic police or their driving license will be revoked if the RTO is caught.

The petitioners will be heard before the Commissioner of Police and the Collector.  Strict action has been initiated by the Transport Commissioner to ensure that drivers do not break the rules and commit crimes.  Regarding the memo issued by the traffic police, the RTO officer may revoke the driving licenses of the applicants.
If an e-memo arrives at home, the license will not be revoked

 E-memos are sent home if drivers violating traffic rules are caught on CCTV cameras.  The RTO official said the license could not be revoked as the RTO office was not involved in the e-memo proceedings.
